Clarinetist Manos Achalinotopoulos was born & raised in Athens. He has traveled to 30 countries playing concerts & festivals, including the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

Since 1998, aiming to broaden his horizons beyond Greek folk styles, he has been researching, composing & collaborating with musicians worldwide, exploring issues related to modern modal music composition. In his own music, Manos mixes traditional clarinet folk styles with jazz, Balkan styles, and influences of Western musical styles.

He has taught clarinet in the Department of Traditional Music in the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus & the Department of Primary Education in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Manos is also an associate professor at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki.
