Martha Mavroidi is a Greek singer, lutenist and composer. She sings and plays folk lutes, performing music from Greece and the Balkans. She developed an interest in contemporary music, blending both elements. She graduated from the Music High School of Pallini, studied Musicology in Athens, Ethnomusicology in London and L.A, and Contemporary Music in Amsterdam. With her quartet, she performed in various venues in Europe and the USA. She is a member of the vocal quartet, Yasemi, and she conducts the Happy Hour Choir and the Greek Folk Choir Rodia. She composed music for prize-winning short and feature films, as well as for dance and theatre productions. Martha is the artistic director of Tinos World Music Festival. She released five albums and published a book for a cappella voices.
