Mehdi Emami was born in 1982 and is a singer and specialist in Persian traditional music. He focused on traditional Iranian singing techniques and repertoire from the well-renowned masters, such as Mohammad Reza Shajarian, Mohammad Reza Lotfi, Mohsen Keramati and Ahmad Emami. Emami's discography includes Sarkhaneh, Chaharsoo, Barafshan, Bazm-e dowr, Modulating Tunes Concert, Aref Gazvini Tasnif, That Very Nay I Am, Nowruz-e Saba, Rumi with National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and Naxos. He has performed concerts in Iran and other countries, such as SOAS Music Festival in London University, Ruhaniyat Festival in India, Mugham Music Festival in Baku, Iran Symphony Orchestra. He is currently teaching music at the Tehran Music Conservatory, Pooyan University and other music schools.
