Amin Chaachoo is a musician, musicologist, and first violinist in the official Andalusian Music Orchestra of Tetouan, Morocco.
He received his diploma in Andalusian Music from the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Tetuán and a degree in Hispanic Literature from the University of Tetuán.
He is a Director and Founder of the Tetouan-Asmir Music Research Center, as well as a professor, lecturer, researcher and author of several books and articles on Andalusian Music.
He was the first researcher to have recovered the theory of Andalusian modes, which disappeared since 1492 with the fall of al-Andalus.
